    1: She strengthened my sentences. I handed her five chapters that’ve had many passes, by many people, and she still removed a few ‘and’, ‘so’, and ‘my’ fillers.

    2: When she found a word that she thought had a better fit, she offered good replacement options as well as her reasoning for suggesting the change.

    3: She highlighted parts she loved and let me know what she was thinking as she read.

    4: She did not offer suggestions for the sake of offering suggestions. There were whole pages that worked for her, so she left them as is.
